Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA)

So the first exam I am undertaking is the CWNA, I have just ordered the book By David Coleman which should turn up in the next 3-10 days I have been advised.


Hopefully work commitments don’t get crazy over the next few months and allow me to schedule and pass the exam before Christmas!! Can you believe that its less than 90 days until the fat man comes, where has this year gone.

Configuring a Cisco AP for Site Survey

Unless you want to have to connect your survey AP to the network to reach the WLC (an therefore having UTP cabling everywhere) or carry around and power a WLC to each survey point you will need an Autonomous AP. This Autonomous AP should be the same model that you plan on installing.

So it begins

So I have decided to start a blog, whilst it will mainly be focused on Wireless Networks some other topics might come up along the way.

After working in the Wireless field for a few years now and recently achieving my CCNP Wireless certification I now question whats next. Do I continue down the CCIE Wireless Path or work towards my CWNE first?

Due to my current work location and the long commute each day, I have found that I do not have enough time to spend practicing for the CCIE Lab component so have decided to pursue the CWNE track first as I can do most studies whilst on the train during my commute.
